Amanda Siriwardana is Nephrologist based at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia. She is the Acting Renal Clinical Trials Lead at Royal North Shore Hospital. She is undertaking a PhD at the George Institute for Global Health.

Her research interests are in studies involving older persons with kidney disease, a group underrepresented in clinical trials due to various reasons including frailty and cognitive impairment posing challenges to traditional informed consent processes. She has an interest in the design and implementation of observational studies and pragmatic trials that maximise recruitment, minimise bias and directly inform real-world clinical decisions.
